Shipping Information

  • All horses are required to travel with a current negative Coggins test dated less than 1 year from your horses arrival date (6 months if entering California) and a health certificate dated within 30 days of arrival.
  • Please provide 1 bale of hay for the trip. We do not supply hay because we would rather have your horse eat the hay he or she is accustomed to.
  • Drivers stop about every 5 hours to refill water buckets and hay nets.
  • Halters need to be provided for each horse.
  • We contact all drop off and pick up points in advance of arrival.
  • Please inform us if your horse has any traveling issues that would be helpful to making your horse’s shipping a safe experience.
  • If blankets are provided they will be added or removed according to the outside temperature. If you are shipping a horse from South to North in the cooler winter months, please provide a blanket for us to put on the horse as we move into colder climates.
  • We can provide the space for one trunk to accompany a horse and are willing to plan accordingly if you must ship more.
  • Please clearly label any blankets or equipment that is shipping with your horse.
  • If you have any other questions concerning the shipping of your horse, please do not hesitate to call us directly or e-mail us at: fairwayhorsetransport@comcast.net
  • We are fully licensed and insured.
